Dr. Lesley Reagan
Lesley Reagan has a doctorate in Art Therapy from Mount Mary University and a master’s degree in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is a licensed clinical professional counselor with 20 years of experience. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings that include group home, residential treatment, inpatient psychiatric care, and intensive outpatient settings.
Dr. Reagan approaches the therapeutic process with creativity and trusts that each individual’s unique interests are avenues for expression and healing. She believes that the creative process offers ways to engage in therapeutic work that is beyond language. Her compassionate and caring approach to problem solving behavioral and interpersonal challenges invites discovery and expands resilience.
Her work with individuals, groups, and families is guided by a relational approach that is rooted in a belief that relationships and connection with others are an integral part of being a healthy and whole person. She believes that in order to fully understand and connect with individuals it is important to understand their family, community, and culture. Dr. Reagan is an advocate for the de-stigmatization of mental health issues and addiction. She strives to help people normalize their experience, engage with others, and love themselves by recognizing their unique gifts and challenges.
