Individual counseling sessions effectively deal with issues that are personally relevant to the client in a private and safe setting.
Groups provide a safe place for clients to build trust, increase self-esteem, receive encouragement, practice boundaries, and discover and speak their truth. Through an experiential group process, members work to overcome challenges and replace old behavior patterns with new more empowering patterns that promote health and well-being. We offer a variety of groups that address issues that include, but are not limited to: addictions, depression, women’s issues, men’s issues, family of origin, grief and loss, spiritual formation, and trauma.
Insideout Living’s couples work draws from neuroscience and attachment theory in order to help couples create relationships that are both secure and well-functioning. Couples engage in a series of exercises designed to help identify each partner’s attachment style, improve the ability to read the partner’s body language and arousal states, and help the couple better manage conflicts.
When working with traditional and non-traditional families, we focus on internal and external factors that contribute to family discord on multiple levels. Relationship patterns are explored to identify family dynamics and roles within the family system. As families develop mutual respect and compassion for one another, old patterns are replaced with new patterns that promote health and well-being.
An intensive counseling group is a blend of education, experiential activities, and homework that center on a common area of struggle for participants. Our intensives take place over 2-5 days (16-40 hours) at our downtown Chicago or Evanston offices which are conveniently located for parking and a variety of public transportation. To allow for minimal interruption from work, responsibilities, and other commitments, intensives are offered in a variety of formats.
Individual intensives can be scheduled to accommodate the client who wants a more personalized experience. For more information about individual intensives, contact Lisa Lackey at 847-328-7588.
